Produced by a family owned mill of 40+ years, these exquisite rugs are artisan-made and 100% handwoven from Namibian Swakara wool; all designs showcase the fiber’s natural colors. Swakara wool comes from a unique Karakul sheep breed found only in southern Namibia. Bearing the Furmark seal, this wool reflects the farmers' strong commitment to environmental care and animal welfare, supported by an authoritative certification process. The weaving begins on hand-built upright looms, forming the warp skeleton, onto which the weft is meticulously handwoven. Every stage—from shearing and washing to hand carding and spinning—is completed entirely in-house by this artisan maker, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship with every thread.
