your way through the rock. The Flow Door
represents the movement of water in a
simple artistic curve with an in-built handle
and level representation in an antique
finished metal skin.

CONSTRUCTION

Multi-layer engineered build: hand-finished metal skin bonded to Bolio composite, reinforced with cement board, insulated with polyurethane foam core for superior thermal performance, braced with stainless steel structural members, and backed with Bolio and composite wood. Aluminum section reinforcement ensures the door is completely warp-free and rated for extreme exterior conditions.

HARDWARE

FritsJurgens concealed pivot system with adjustable closing speed, hold-open position, and backcheck. Supports doors up to 1,400 mm leaf width and 300 kg. Available with concealed 3D-adjustable hinges as an alternative. High-security multi-point locking with premium cylinders. Optional biometric access integration available.

PERFORMANCE

Engineered for high impact resistance, fire resistance, water resistance, and a toughened surface finish. Termite-resistant, fungus-resistant, and environmentally sustainable. Advanced weather sealing resists air, water, dust, and noise infiltration while preserving smooth door operation.

CUSTOMIZATION

Fully bespoke — every dimension, finish, material, and design element can be tailored to your project. Available in copper, brass, bronze, and gunmetal finishes with options for semi-precious stone inlays (malachite, rose quartz, lapis lazuli, amethyst, grey agate), Mother of Pearl accents, and wood detailing. Multiple patination palettes available through manual oxidation.

Referenced door is 5' x 9'. All doors can be customized and made to precise dimensions. Shop drawings are included for all door purchases.

NATURAL PATINA

Copper naturally develops a rich, warm patina over time — from deep reddish-brown to verdigris green. This is a hallmark of genuine copper and acts as a protective layer.

ROUTINE CLEANING

Gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid spray or liquid furniture polishes, abrasive cleaners, and scrubbing pads. For textured or embossed areas, use a soft-bristle brush to remove dust from crevices.

PROTECTIVE WAXING

Apply a thin coat of microcrystalline wax (such as Renaissance Wax) once or twice a year using a soft cloth. This protects the finish without yellowing over time. Buff lightly after application for a gentle sheen.

COASTAL & HUMID ENVIRONMENTS

In coastal or high-humidity climates, clean and wax the door surface twice per year to prevent accelerated tarnishing. Always dry thoroughly after exposure to salt air or rain.

HARDWARE MAINTENANCE

Pivot and hinge mechanisms are precision-engineered and require no regular lubrication. If the door's closing speed needs adjustment, contact your installer — FritsJurgens pivot systems feature adjustable closing speed, hold-open, and backcheck functions.

HANDLE & ACCENT CARE

For handles with semi-precious stone inlays or Mother of Pearl accents, avoid chemical cleaners. Clean gently with a dry or barely damp microfiber cloth. Do not apply wax directly to stone or pearl surfaces.

Each door ships complete with the finished door panel, precision hardware (pivot or hinge system), high-security multi-point locking mechanism, weather sealing components, and a custom handle. Shop drawings detailing exact dimensions and installation specifications are provided with every order.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

Professional installation is required. A qualified door installer or general contractor experienced with luxury pivot or hinged entry doors should perform the installation. Detailed shop drawings and hardware mounting instructions are included. For pivot doors, the FritsJurgens concealed pivot system mounts flush into the floor and door head — no visible hardware.

PRE-INSTALLATION

Verify the rough opening matches the shop drawings provided. The door opening must be plumb, level, and square. Ensure the structural header and floor can support the door weight (up to 300 kg for pivot configurations). For pivot installations, the floor recess must be prepared according to the FritsJurgens specification sheet.

LEAD TIME & PROCESS

All doors are bespoke and handcrafted to order with an estimated lead time of 16–20 weeks. After order placement, you will receive shop drawings for approval before production begins. Any custom modifications to design, dimensions, or materials are confirmed during the shop drawing phase.
